The SCAM that tricked Carder

No one thinks they'll get scammed. I thought this, as the scam stories I heard secondhand gave me a luxury: hindsight. Hearing a story about someone being scammed allows you to logically follow the process and thoughtfully place your red flags about what they shouldn't have fallen for.

It's different when you think you're going to jail if you don't act now. It's like being put on the spot in a game of taboo or trivial pursuit. The time factor makes you say and guess things you KNOW aren't right. Your adrenaline is going, and people are depending on you.

My wife and I were scammed out of money by people who knew how to sound, and what to say to any objection. They made themselves the people we had to trust in a situation we didn't know they were actually lying about. In this video, we break down what happened and are joined by a police officer to illuminate situations like this so you can think clearly in a moment that I hope never happens to you.

And remember if you have any feelings of shame because you "fell for it" like we did: you are not the one in the wrong. You simply acted in your best interest with information you thought was true. There is nothing to feel guilty about. - Carder
