House of David

The story of David really is a saga, which is why Jon Erwin decided to do a television show rather than a movie. From being chosen as king, to defeating Goliath, to his relationship with Saul and Jonathan: there is a lot to unpack. It comes a long with many moments that aren't spelled out directly in scripture, yet real people had to navigate these moments of humanity in what we read about and what we don't. Jon's goal is to make that come alive. It was really fascinating hearing his perspective, and how he reads the Bible differently after seeing these moments played out on screen.
